Watch this space for a feast of folk music from the soothing tones of award-winning musician Nikki Rous then step it up with a mix of bluegrass, swing and folk performed by Luke Day at the Folk at Maws event; to acoustic Celtic fold due Whalebone at the Festival Hub.
A performance from Wellington Brass band as part of the showing of the film ‘Miners Hymns’. The Telfordaires will grace us with their barber shop harmonies on the Wharfage.
This year’s festival will also play host to an immersive surround sound performance of sonic Artist Bobby Bird’s composition ‘Watt’s Orbit’, created from the sounds and rhythms of James Watt’s 250 year old steam driven beam engines’ and a performance of Nathan Tromans’ ‘The Trail of Thomas Love’ a musical & visual journey rooted in Ironbridge Gorge.
