IRONBRIDGE WALKING GROUP
Ironbridge Walking Group are a group of local volunteers, keen to promote walking and the beautiful area in which we live. Every year we organise the Ironbridge Gorge Walking Festival – a 9-day long celebration of walking that includes more than 50 free guided walks for all abilities. Our programme aims to offer something for everyone, from long challenge walks, with the opportunity to receive a 100, 50 or 25 mile medal, to short information walks, showcasing the rich history or flora and fauna of the area and everything in between. We try to illustrate all the fabulous things the area has to offer, from local projects to heritage properties, coracles to artists. And there’s always time (and plenty of choice) for refreshments!
PLEASE NOTE
Walks are open to everyone and free of charge. Suitable clothing and footwear for the weather conditions should be worn/carried. For all walks, walking boots/shoes are essential. Please bring food and drink for the walk. Some routes will have the opportunity to stop/purchase refreshments but this cannot be guaranteed. Walks will commence at the given time but durations are only approximate. Walkers are walking at their own risk.
COVID-19
We all need to take extra steps to stay safe. Please follow all safety advice given by the walk leader, including the latest guidelines on physical distancing. For more information about COVID-19 and Ramblers group walks, please see our guidance for walkers on the coronavirus pages of the Ramblers website.
